Today, the estate is owned by Jayshree Tea and Industries, one of India’s leading tea producers.
The Happy Valley Tea Estate is known for its unique tea-making process that combines traditional and modern techniques. The process begins with plucking the tea leaves, which are then withered to remove excess moisture. The withered leaves are then rolled and oxidized to bring out their flavor and aroma. Finally, the leaves are fired to stop the oxidation process, dried, and sorted based on their size and quality.
